Beth Simpson, Grade Five Teacher

Beth Simpson has been teaching at Bright Water School since 2004, originally as a Spanish teacher. From 2006-2008, Ms. Simpson led Bright Water School’s middle school Spanish Program and the Language Arts program. In 2008, she became a class teacher, taking her first class from Grade Six through Grade Eight. Ms. Simpson joined the Class of 2015 in fifth grade and followed them through their graduation. In 2016 she stepped in as class teacher for the fourth grade.

Ms. Simpson has a Ph.D. in Spanish Linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin and has been a teacher to native and non-native speakers. She completed the Waldorf Teacher Training at Sound Circle Training Institute in 2007. Ms. Simpson is the mother of two children.
