Skye Chamberlain, Grade Six Teacher

Growing up in West Michigan, Skye Chamberlain found herself surrounded by beach grass, poplar trees, and the rumble of foghorns. She went on to the University of Michigan, where she graduated in 1990. Studying Asian Art and Comparative Literature, she devoted herself to Ceramics in Fine Arts and Nepali and French as second languages. She is also a graduate of Sound Circle’s Teacher Training program.

Skye originally started working at Bright Water School in 2001 as the Kindergarten teacher. She then started leading the third grade class in 2004 through their graduation year in 2010. Skye Chamberlain is currently the main lesson teacher for the Class of 2020.
