Students at Bright Water Waldorf School engage their learning in a fully integrated way. Their minds are observing and making sense of a world through stories, subject lessons, and problem solving. Students’ hands are experiencing learning through yarn, thread, wood, instruments, plants, pens, and paints. Their hearts are being invited to grow larger with compassion, empathy, and understanding for the greater world around them. We are truly cultivating creative minds, capable hands, and compassionate hearts–bright lights in our world!
Like many other independent schools across the country, tuition does not cover the full cost of a Bright Water Waldorf School education. We rely on community-wide fundraising each year to support our everyday operating costs, including faculty compensation, classroom materials, tuition assistance, campus maintenance and much more - everything that makes our school so special. By directly supporting our operating budget each year, your gift supports every student and every faculty member, every day.
We are asking that 100% of our parents, faculty/staff, and trustees participate in this critical community-wide effort. Remember, no gift is too small and every gift truly counts.
We are grateful to our families and many grandparents, alumni families, and friends who also make generous annual contributions to our school.
We have the goal of raising $90k through our “We Shine Brighter Together” Community Fund Campaign. Through our collective giving we believe we can achieve this goal. One candle can only offer so much light, but a lantern’s lumens are far brighter!

Frequently Asked Questions
WHY NOT INCREASE TUITION TO COVER THE SCHOOL’S COST SO WE DON’T HAVE TO FUNDRAISE?
Tuition income covers 80-90% of our school’s expenses. The Bright Water Waldorf School Community Fund makes a truly special and rich Waldorf experience possible. As part of our school community’s commitment to inclusiveness and diversity, fundraising is required to maintain tuition that is affordable and accessible. This campaign and our Spring Auction will be critical efforts to raise the difference in our school’s expenses.
I CAN’T MAKE A LARGE GIFT. SHOULD I GIVE ANYWAY?
YES! Our hope is that every family, faculty/staff member and trustee is invited to give! Every gift – no matter the size – makes a difference.
CAN I make a gift and pay it over time?
YES! Gifts can be paid over time. Paying your gift over time is a way to stretch your donation – $25 a month over 10 months is $250; $100 pledged over 10 months is $1,000; $500 a month over 10 months is $5,000. All gifts are due by the end of our fiscal year, July 31, 2024.
IS MY DONATION ELIGIBLE FOR EMPLOYER/CORPORATE MATCHING?
Corporate matching is a great way to give and can easily double, sometimes triple, your contribution. Check with the Human Resources office at your place of work. BWWS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is eligible for matching gifts. Bright Water Waldorf School’s tax identification number is: 91-1897098.
Can grandparents, alumni and community members support Bright Water Waldorf School?
YES! Giving to the Community Fund is open to the entire community. We welcome support from others and invite them to participate in the campaign this year.
