The Bright Water Waldorf middle school students are teaming up with Washington Middle School and playing Ultimate Frisbee together this spring season! Bringing players together from neighboring schools is a wonderful way to build a cohesive team, community, and a truly cooperative sport! The spirit circle at the end of the game fosters healthy positivity, honoring other players, and even encouraging and celebrating opponents.
Come build community on the side-lines and support our players in this fantastic game! The game itself develops many fundamental motor skills such as running, leaping and the vertical jump. Ultimate Frisbee also develops hand-eye co-ordination and catching skills as well as the unique forehand, backhand and overhead throwing skills needed to propel the Frisbee. In addition, players self-referee, a skill that requires self-advocacy and group problem-solving.
