LIVE AUCTION | CLASS PROJECTS
This year we have five amazing class projects that will be up for auction. Get your bidding paddle ready as these will be highly prized items that you'll want in your home to enjoy for years with your family.
Immerse yourself in a woven watercolor wonderland, a stunning cooperative painting created by the Salmonberry students and beautifully woven and framed by their teachers. This unique piece captures the collective creativity and spirit of the class, making it a truly special addition to any space. Come ready to bid on this one-of-a-kind masterpiece!
Bid on a one-of-a-kind handmade treasure created by the Grade 1/2 students! With help from their parents, they’ve crafted a delightful wooden treehouse play stand, complete with intricately designed play figurines, accessories, and furniture. This charming project is sure to spark imagination and fun for years to come—don’t miss your chance to take it home!
Bid on a breathtaking full-size quilt, crafted from squares dyed with natural dyes such as indigo, rust, iron oxide, and delicate leaf prints. This treasure, created from the beauty of nature, is a reflection of the 3/4th grade’s focus on food, clothing, and shelter, with a deep appreciation for the natural world. A true work of art, this quilt is not only a functional piece but also a symbol of the students’ creative connection to the earth.
Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky’s Squares with Concentric Circles (1913), this Grade 5/6 project blends vibrant watercolor painting with the tactile beauty of a sewn felt pillow. The dynamic use of color and shape, reminiscent of Kandinsky’s iconic work, brings this piece to life as both a visual and textural masterpiece. Don’t miss the chance to own this unique creation, where art and craftsmanship come together in a harmonious display of creativity.
Grade 7/8 is creating a stunning, large wool wall hanging depicting a Phylogenetic Tree, also known as the Tree of Life. Handcrafted through the intricate processes of wet and needle felting, this collaborative piece beautifully illustrates the interconnectedness of all living things. A true work of art and science, it’s a heartfelt expression of student creativity and learning.
Heads or Tails
Auction attendees will have the chance to play Heads or Tails during the live auction. Participation costs $25.
How to participate in Heads or Tails:
Initial Selection: Participants choose either “heads” or “tails” by placing their hands accordingly (on their heads or bums).
The Coin Toss: The auctioneer flips a coin, announcing whether it landed on heads or tails. Those whose choice aligns with the coin flip remain in the game, while others take their leave.
Progressive Rounds: The auctioneer continues the process, eliminating participants with each successive coin toss until only a handful remain.
Final Showdown: The last few participants are invited to the stage for the ultimate coin tosses until only one triumphant player remains. This lucky individual emerges as the Heads and Tails raffle winner.
The item: Sounders Tickets generously donated by Petra Baylon and Alen Blake.
